My name is Olivia Levine. I study Business and Design at Northeastern University, with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Global Fashion Studies. My journey as an artist started with acrylic painting in 2020. A lot of my work centers around the idea of escape. For me, my art is my escape from reality, from all the fears and stressors of my life. I love crafting a new world that I almost step into as I’m creating the piece. A portal to another dimension. A world where energy and emotion take priority over literal representation. Think of my work, not as just a collection of strokes on a canvas, but portals to a dream reality, a visual escape reflecting my journey as an artist and my personal growth. Hence, my collection of work features common themes of fantasy landscapes. I’ve developed my technical skills in blending, light and shadows, dimension, and textures through my vibrant skies, oceans, flowers, clouds, and mountains.

 

As I venture into the world of design, I've tried to keep these themes prevalent while creating eye-catching compositions using images, typography, graphic and information design, and marketing skills to tie it all together. Additionally, I've been exploring the idea of transforming my visual art into digital pieces I can use for my design work. I'm excited to further explore the world of design as I broaden my skills and expand my collection of work.
